Beverly Naya, a Nollywood actress, has spoken out about surviving bullying at a young age.
Beverly revealed in an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo that she was constantly bullied as a child, even for the smallest of reasons.
She explained that she was thought to be ugly and unattractive because she had crooked teeth and eczema. People around her constantly called her several unprintable names, making her feel less than herself.
As a result, she saw herself as an ugly duckling who isn’t cute.

Beverly revealed that she was able to regain her confidence and blossom around the age of 16 after her skin cleared and she received braces. This, however, only made matters worse for her as the bullying became more intense.
She was severely bullied to the point of suicide.
