
Joshua Atsupie, the late Christian Atsu’s son from Ghana, has won the Under-9 League Cup just days after his father died in the recent devastating earthquake in Turkey.
In a short video published on TikTok, Joshua Atsupie was seen carrying the cup. He was in the company of his teammates.

Atsu began his football career at Porto in Portugal, where he quickly ascended through the junior academy ranks before making his professional team debut in 2010. Atsu earned two Primeira Liga titles and advanced to the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals during his stint at Porto.
Despite his achievements on the pitch, Atsu struggled to get consistent playing time and was eventually loaned out to many clubs, including Rio Ave, Eibar, and Bournemouth.
In addition to his club career, Atsu has been a frequent member of Ghana’s national squad. He made his international debut in 2012 and has since represented Ghana in three Africa Cup of Nations tournaments as well as the FIFA World Cup in 2014.

Christian Atsu joined the Turkish team Hatayspor in the Süper Lig on September 6, 2022. He agreed to a one-year contract with the team, with an option for another year.
