The Black Stars are preparing for a crucial clash against Angola on Friday night.
They seek to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) competition.
The Ghanaian national team earned a lift on Thursday when Niger surprised Sudan with a 4-0 victory in Group F’s penultimate round of qualifying. Although this outcome has momentarily placed Ghana to the bottom of the Group F standings, it does provide a silver lining.
A win over Angola on Friday would put the Black Stars back in third position, only two points behind Sudan.
Coach Otto Addo led the players through an intensive training session on Thursday evening to prepare for this vital AFCON qualifier.
The players shown great levels of desire and intensity, determined to score a crucial victory over Angola. The group understands that only a win will keep their qualification hopes alive.

However, a victory over Angola will not be sufficient. To improve their prospects of qualifying for the 2025 AFCON, the Black Stars must also overcome Niger in their next encounter on Monday, November 18, while Angola wins over Sudan on the same day.
The highly anticipated match between Angola and Ghana is expected to begin at 7 p.m. on Friday night.
