Kasoa: A Man K!lls Himself On High Voltage Trasmission Pole
He is said to have climbed up the high voltage transmission line pylon at Kasoa. Galilea is in the Ga South District of Greater Accra. It is between Weija and Kasoa, past the Kasoa toll booth. Some people who saw him say he said he was tired of living.
He stepped on the power line and was k!lled by the electricity. On social media, a video of the event has been shared. Since then, the body has been taken to the morgue. The man hasn’t been found yet, but the incident is said to have happened on Friday.
GRIDCo owns and runs a network of transmission systems for the bulk distribution of electricity in Ghana. This network has about 3,670 circuit-kilometers of 161 kV transmission lines and 34 substations for high voltage and medium voltage.
