Benin Republic will be missing two additional players when they face Nigeria and Libya in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualification matches.
The most recent departures are midfielder Matteo Ahlinvi and left-back David Kiki.
Ahlinvi sustained an injury while playing for his Swedish team Vasteras last weekend and will remain at the club for treatment.
Kiki is currently with the team in Abidjan, but will miss the game owing to fitness concerns, according to head coach Gernot Rohr.
“Kiki is still too short to resume immediately. “He was injured for two months, but he has recovered,” Rohr told Joueurs Beninois.
Reliable defenders Cedric Hountondji and Olivier Verdon have already been ruled out.
