14 Things You Should Do When Your Kids Cry
Crying is a physiological process in the life of a baby. All normal babies cry to communicate with others.
Because they are unable to express their feelings verbally, crying is their only means of communication. They simply cry whenever they have an unpleasant feeling. Babies typically cry in response to situations such as hunger, wetting, extreme heat or cold, tight clothing, pain, and so on.
Some children require the presence of another person in order to cry. Some babies cry for no apparent reason. Even though crying is considered normal, it can be upsetting to family members. Because the causes of crying range from simple to serious, the exact cause must be identified and managed accordingly.

The following are some things to think about when dealing with a crying baby.
1. Shaking the baby vigorously is dangerous.
2. Tight cloths can cause irritation and should be avoided.
3. If the room is too hot, turn on the fan and open the windows.
4. If the nappy is wet, remove it and pat it dry with a soft towel after cleaning the parts.
5. Pat her back or stroke her head slowly and let her hear your soothing sound.
6. Give her breast milk and make her quiet.
7. If the weather is cold, wrap her in a soft towel.
8. Rock her gently in your arms and walk slowly around the room.
9. Give a music-making doll a listen.
10. Use a pacifier or assist her with thumb sucking.
11. If she receives no response, she should change her position.
12. Walk outdoors with her.
13. Place her in the cradle and gently rock her.
14. If no one responds, ask someone to carry the baby.
