‘He is Ghana’s Ten Hag.’ – Fans criticize Otto Addo following the Black Stars’ AFCON defeat.

Ghanaian fans on social media have ripped down Coach Otto Addo after the Black Stars failed to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Ghana will not compete in next year’s tournament in Morocco, having finished last in a group that included Angola, Sudan and Niger.

The Black Stars’ dreams of qualifying for the AFCON were dashed after a 1-1 draw against Angola in Luanda on Friday.

However, they failed to excite their home fans in their final qualification match, losing 1-2 to Niger at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday.

The defeat ended the four-time African champions’ qualification campaign in humiliating manner, with 0 wins in six matches.

Otto Addo draws criticism from Ghanaians on social media.
It was also the first time in two decades that Ghana failed to qualify for the AFCON, having last done so in 2004.

Despite Otto Addo’s unequivocal apology to Ghanaian supporters in his post-match press conference, some took to social media to criticize his performance in the dugout.

It is unclear whether the under-fire 49-year-old will be fired, but he appears to be in the bad books of many supporters right now.
