Tips For Self Improvement And Success
Everything that happens to us is on purpose. And sometimes one thing leads to another. Instead of locking yourself up in your cage of fears and crying over past heartbreaks, embarrassment, and failures, treat them as teachers and they will become tools in both self improvement and success.

Patch Adams is one of my favorite movies. It’s a fantastic film that will help you improve yourself. Hunter “patch” Adams is a medical student who failed the board exams. After months of suffering from melancholy, depression, and suicidal ideation, he decided to seek medical attention and voluntarily admitted himself to a psychiatric ward. During his months in the hospital, he met a variety of people.
In this case, sick people. He met a catatonic, a mentally retarded, a schizophrenic, and so on. Patch discovered ways to treat his own ailment and eventually realized he needed to get back on track. He awoke one morning realizing that despite all of his failures and pains, he still desired to be a doctor. He has a positive attitude that has led to his self-improvement and success. He not only improved himself, but also the lives of those around him and the overall quality of life. Did he succeed? Needless to say, he rose to become the best damn doctor his country has ever known.
So, when does self-improvement become synonymous with success? Where do we even begin? Friends, follow these suggestions.
*Stop thinking and feeling like you’re a failure, because you’re not. How can others accept you if you can’t accept yourself?
*When you see hunks and models on TV, focus on self-improvement rather than self-pity. Self-acceptance is more than just having nice slender legs or great abs. Concentrate on inner beauty.
*When people are feeling down and out about themselves, assist them in moving up. Don’t go down with them. They’ll drag you down even more, and both of you will feel inferior.
*The world is a big place for lessons, not mistakes. Don’t feel stupid and doomed because you failed a science quiz. There will always be another opportunity. Make space for self-improvement.
*Take things one at a time. You don’t expect black sheep to become goody-two-shoes with the snap of a finger. Self-improvement is a day-by-day endeavor.
*Self-improvement leads to inner stability, personality development, and, get this, SUCCESS. It is derived from self-assurance, self-appreciation, and self-esteem.
* Set attainable and meaningful goals. Self-improvement does not transform you into a carbon copy of Cameron Diaz or Ralph Fiennes. It hopes and aspires to result in a better and more improved YOU.
*Little things can mean a lot to other people. Sometimes we don’t realize how simple things like a pat on the back, saying “hi” or “hello,” greeting someone “good day,” or telling Mr. Smith something like “hey, I love your tie!” mean so much to other people. When we appreciate the beautiful things around us and other people, we become beautiful to them.
*Just because you’re willing to accept change and work on yourself doesn’t mean everyone else is. The world is a place where people with various values and attitudes congregate. Even if you think you and your best friend always like to do the same thing at the same time, she would most likely decline an invitation to self-improvement.
