Clarie Rupio, Christian Atsu’s wife, has spoken for the second time since her husband’s body was recovered from the rubble last Saturday.
Christian Atsu’s lifeless body was recovered from the rubble on Saturday, ten days after the earthquake that struck Turkey on February 6, 2023.
Christian Atsu was trapped under the rubble of the Hatayaspor Renaissance building for 10 days before he was discovered and finally pulled out, but he died.

The widower revealed in a sad-trending audio that she is unable to eat, sleep, or drink. She stated in the audio that she misses her late husband terribly, but she must remain strong for the sake of their three children.
Christian Atsu and his wife married in 2012 and have since welcomed three children into their lives.
“I met my wife in Portugal, and as you can see, we have a beautiful family,” Atsu said in an interview with Tv3 Sports a while back. We’ve been together for about nine to ten years, and I adore her.”
