
Brighton turned down Arsenal’s £60 million proposal for Moises Caicedo.
Caicedo is not up for sale this month, according to the Seagulls.
Arsenal, however, is still interested and debating whether to make a better offer.
A £60m fee was promised for the bid. Brighton’s acquisition of Marc Cucurella from Chelsea for an initial £57 million plus add-ons ranks as the largest transfer fee in the club’s history.
Chelsea are also interested in the midfielder, who Brighton paid £4.5 million for two years ago when they acquired him from Independiente del Valle, but a source has told Sky Sports News that a January transfer to the Blues appears extremely unlikely because the two organizations “are not in the same ball park” regarding valuations.
