When Liverpool plays Chelsea on Saturday at Anfield, Jurgen Klopp will manage his 1,000th game.
The former coach of Mainz and Borussia Dortmund has recently reviewed his career.
“It’s crazy,” he said. “I never considered numbers like these and never imagined being able to do it for so long. To get there, you must work for 22 years.
“I am quite fortunate. Three outstanding clubs gave me the chance to perform my duties. You never know what will happen when you enter a situation, so the way things have turned out for me has been quite fortunate. The number 1,000 is absurd.
“I worked at the clubs I adore doing what I love. It truly is a blessing to me.
